Ok, I am prepared to be hung, drawn and quartered here cause I am beginning to think IABU so am posting this hoping that you will tell me otherwise.

Was just in Zara buying some bits for DS who is just 4 and on the till saw some eau de toilette for boys (in children's section, so no mistaking it). So I smelt it and liked it and thought DS would love it as he could be just like Daddy.

Now I am beginning to think IABVU for buying it and considering letting him use it.

Thoughts?

It does smell very yummy by the way and def for children, very sweet, in fact a bit like a 10p mix Wink

My (then) four and six year old dd's got kiddie perfume in xmas stockings last year. Had been begging for it for ages. Rule is that they're not allowed to put any on before school. They don't use it very often tbh but usually drown themselves in it when they do! Better than pinching my (expensive) ones.

Before anyone comes to hung, drawn and quarter you, I've used eau de toilette for my DS since he was born and still do - he's 4 too. It comes from Spain and I used to use it myself when I was a child (still do sometimes!). It's called NENUCO, smells gorgeously clean and fresh and it has lots of connections of well-being and happiness for our little family.

So, in my opinion, YANBU - it's now part of his routine getting ready for the day ahead in the morning and spraying some on his hair to tame it comb it down.

isn't it the same thing as buying make up for little girls? if you are ok with this, then its ok. BUT its not for others to judge.

MummyDayAndNightCare · 30/09/2010 12:42

I wouldn't be ok with that actually Lublie, not sure why I feel different but I do.

Oh well.....

I thought you'd like to know it is approved by the Spanish Institute of Paediatricians (gosh, I thought too late about being flamed myself for confessing to using it since birth!).

You can get it from here, they also supply the rest of the range (shampoos, shower & bath gels, etc. I hope you like it if you get some, it's the smell of my childhood and now DSs!

Bellagio · 30/09/2010 12:46

Snowiebear: I ADORE Nenuco!!!
I smothered everything in ds's room with it before he was born, it smells divine, love it!

SnowieBear · 30/09/2010 12:48

Hi Bellagio (waves), so pleased to see I'm in good, discerning company Grin.

Bellagio · 30/09/2010 12:48

Oh and YANBU OP, no harm in it if they like it, better than some smells that little children sometimes emit!

MummyDayAndNightCare · 30/09/2010 13:58

Well, I am amazed and very happy.

So far no YABU!
