But only when they're on offer.

They are so yum, and you get 3 of your 5 a day in once easy 'bing'!

oh no DM :( hOw do you know when they're off?

StealthPolarBear · 29/09/2010 19:02

yes, still £1.74 in tesco

badgermonkey · 29/09/2010 19:15

YANBU - they are delicious and reasonable at half-price. £3.50 would be a bit of a stretch though!

Prinnie · 29/09/2010 19:19

YANBU - I love them - every single flavour. I then keep the pots and ingredient lists and make 5 of my own each Sunday night - put in the fridge then I have 5 healthy lunches for the week!

annec555 · 29/09/2010 19:20

I love these so much! There is a lovely one with beetroot which I think they may have stopped doing. Gutted!

fuzzypicklehead · 29/09/2010 19:21

OP, are you me?

I grabbed one of each flavor and ended up going back a few days later for more. If they were freezeable, I'd stock up now and eat them for a month. At least.

1234ThumbWar · 29/09/2010 19:24

Love them

Have you noticed that M&S are doing something similar - a classic meal in a pot £2.99, but on a 3 for 2 at the moment. Quite nice too.

DirtyMartini · 29/09/2010 19:28

They sort of went vinegary and funny and horrible. The second time, I got dp to taste in case it was just me but he noticed right away too. I really do like them usually, so was trying to stick with them, but the off ones were ugh. We kept the faith for a while but eventually had to give up :(

LastOrdersAgain · 29/09/2010 20:00

I shall be going to Tesco tomorrow to stock up on some more.

I always get them from the very back so they have the longest date.

DirtyMartini My mum swears blind that when something is on offer it's because there is something wrong with it Hmm but she may be onto something there....

Will just have to scoff them all even quicker!

The Thai one is nice with a Birds Eye chilli prawn "simply cook" satchet chucked on top of it for a ready-meal dinner that doesn't really taste like a ready meal and is fairly healthy.

Did you know Coke are trying to buy Innocent out?

sloanypony · 29/09/2010 20:09

Shit I hope that wasn't price-sensitive info. Oh fuck it, my friend who works for coke shouldn't have told me then if that's the case!

sloanypony · 29/09/2010 20:11

Oh here it is - its old news Blush

orienteerer · 29/09/2010 20:11

I used to like them but have rather gone off them, some are a bit slimy.

LastOrdersAgain · 29/09/2010 20:11

I have heard many rumours in the past about coke and innocent, but I really hope innocent don't budge.

I don't think I'd be buying them any more if they sold out.

sloanypony · 29/09/2010 20:25

They have

Meglet · 29/09/2010 20:27

I love the Indian one, it's on the sainsburys order this week. I can split it between me and 2 toddler and 'eek' it out with rice, naan break and poppadoms.

The pots are brilliant for portioning off home made meals.

ChippyMinton · 29/09/2010 21:26

Prinnie can you post the recipes please, if you have them? I like the lentil one. Smile

CloudsAway · 29/09/2010 21:48

So what, are they just like vegetarian ready-meals in a pot? LIke lentils and veg in sauce, or curry, or something?

StealthPolarBear · 29/09/2010 21:52

Yes, the one I like is like a lentil curry, but posh cos it;'s got green stuff on top. They're all natural ingredients and one pot counts for 3 of your 5 a day.
I should get commission so I'll counter that by saying
usually hideously over priced but a very reasonable £1.74 in tesco at the moment :o

nannylocal · 29/09/2010 21:57

I just discovered these on Monday (in the offers fridge in Tesco) and went right back for more on Tuesday. I wasn't keen on the Thai one and have the Mexican one yet to try, but others were lovely and sooooo quick and easy. It is a shame they don't freeze because full price they're not really worth it.

QuizteamBleakley · 29/09/2010 22:35

I've got one left in the fridge (have troffed the 5 others on a nightly basis)... Am 30wks pg & suffering from heartburn but am salivating! Ah, feck it... I'm off for Innocent moussaka and a Gaviscon (now in strawberry flavour, btw) DAMMIT

dixiechick1975 · 29/09/2010 22:42

ha i've had them for lunch at work all week. Tried as half price at tesco - doubt i'd pay full price.

Trying to eat less bread - something hot seems more filling.

Even DH who dislikes alot of veg has enjoyed them.

thai and mexican are my faves.

DoubleLifeIsALifeHalved · 29/09/2010 23:03

the mexican one freezes ok - not sure what I am risking by going against the 'do not freeze', but I nuke it in the microwave for ages just in case, and it tastes fine and hasn't made me ill!

miffyjane · 30/09/2010 07:11

Yuk - they are too spicy. Suppose they have to put the spice in to cover up for the lack of meat/fish!

Bloodymary · 30/09/2010 07:31

OK You have all convinced me (except miffyjane), I have just added some to my online Tesco delivery.
I may even live dangerously and try freezing one or two!
