Is anyone else sick to death of seeing cheryls smug face everywhere ? so brave and martyr like being cheated on (then instantly using will I am for publicity) braving malaria (with a twenty four hour private nurse in her Surrey mansion) her Inane comments on x factor and don't even get me started the whole nations sweetheart thing (I bet the woman she punched in the face doesn't think that or all the other celebs she has slagged off in the past) ,is it just me? Inwouldnt be so bothered but she is everywhere I turn!

I know so many intelligent teenage girls who worship her because they think she combines being cool/edgy with being beautiful. It's her beauty that hooks them, they admire her for that more than anything else and look up to her. Maybe too her common touch?

One 14 year old I know did a project on Cheryl as being the most inspirational woman of all time. This girl is very bright and I quizzed her as to why she chose Cheryl.

She told me because Cheryl had overcome all the odds to become a huge success. She was a living example of how hard work and talent will take you to the top. She told me Cheryl had even beaten others to a coveted place at the Royal Ballet School. I hadn't heard this and looked it up. It seems Cheryl was there for a short while, a summer camp or similar, and didn't stay the course I believe (she was bullied).

I find it very depressing, although she may have some talent if Cheryl was ugly, or pleasantly plain even, lets face it, she simply wouldn't be the nations sweetheart. Or am I missing something? Why do we persist on admiring women, almost idolising them, for being pretty?

well that's nothing new, surely? everyone has always admired beauty.

True, but I wonder if this is more prevalent now? Now we seem to worship it, fame and celebrity too.

I also can't stand her. I find her very fake and totally, totally overdone. She just tries far too hard and it's really unnatractive. There's quite a lot I'd change about myself given the choice, but I genuinely wouldn't prefer to look like Cheryl Cole, or prefer her figure.

I much preferred Nicole on X Factor and prefer her in general. Yes, she is also super-groomed and cosmetically enhanced, but she is also extremely naturally beautiful and has a lot more talen than CC too.

I just think she's a bit thick!! However, my mum (who lives in Newcastle) thinks she is fab. She (my mum) also adores X Factor and Big Brother. I love my mum to bits but my claim to fame is that I have never seen either of these shows
