...is not told in his voice, but is being 'narrated' but someone else? Ie it's Stephen Hawkin's words, and him speaking, but they have chosen to use someone else to speak his words Hmm

And when they switched from Stephen Hawkin doing the intro, they kind of morphed his voice, into the person speaking his word,s that that was also just a bit crass?

I did think about this after the first episode. And then I thought a little more. Here's what I came up with:

SH is an intelligent guy in charge of his own destiny, if he had a problem with it, it would not have happened.

I think if I felt as passionately about the subject as SH did I would want that portrayed in any programme that I made and if that meant putting a person's voice in (instead of the computerised one I was forced to work with) then so be it. No computerised voice can portray the emphasis and nuances that the human voice can.

He would more than likely have to give approval before the main copy was broadcast. And he did.

That may be why the narrative starts off in VOCA and then goes off into human voice.

He is a world class thinker who has 'voiced over' many, many programmes before Bonnie.

And yes, if he is ill, he may well not want to spend his time and energy doing that (a point I hadn't fully considered before). I can appreciated that. But again. Morphing from his voice to an actors...Why not fully the actor's voice?

And re my leaving a 'g' off his name...Really? You chose to pick up on that? Biscuit

I really liked it actually. I thought it was neatly and sensitively done.

I agree completely with what Dione says on the matter. In particular that "SH is an intelligent guy in charge of his own destiny, if he had a problem with it, it would not have happened."
