have stickers on their car saying 'powered by fairydust'?
It is not cute, it is not ironic, it is not even amusing. It is baffling and slightly odd that a grown woman would choose to drive round in a car that looks like a four year old has chosen to modify it.

I meant "Westminster" - oops!

whomovedmychocolate · 24/09/2010 20:29

If I see those stickers in the pub carpark I always check who the driver is and if they've had a drink, ring the local plod and ask them to breathalyse them on the way home!

BoojaB · 24/09/2010 20:33

Lovely!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Love it!

CommonSenseSuze · 24/09/2010 20:34

Great idea whomoved! :)

Mind you, they're above the law don't you know?

monkeyfacegrace · 24/09/2010 20:35

Right, Im bored of being thick. Explain the darwin fish for me....

fruitshootsandheaves · 24/09/2010 20:37

I would like one that says

"noone on board - driven by telepathy"

or

"please don't distract the assistance dog"

fourisfine · 24/09/2010 20:45

Kreecher If you really want a sticker with dds name on it go onto ebay and do a search, they can make up any name :) If you click on the link then look at the other shop categories there should be some on that shops site.

Thats where I get my car stickers from Grin

I just sold a Galaxy with these on it

and yes I got more for the car than if they hadn't been on there Grin

teaandcakeplease · 24/09/2010 20:47

The funniest one I saw said "Work harder! Millions on benefits are depending on you"

Very bad taste but it did make me giggle.

I do have a faith but have never been able to bring myself to have a fish on my car, it makes my teeth itch to even consider it and they're often bad drivers I find.

PigeonPie · 24/09/2010 20:51

We had a car round us which had 'Porn Star on Board' which I actually found rather offensive, especially as the driver had at least one youngish daughter.

teaandcakeplease · 24/09/2010 20:53

Most stickers do irritate me. Especially the pixy dust one. YABU.

The worst I had in my car as a 17 yr old, was fluffy dice Grin Never stickers.

teaandcakeplease · 24/09/2010 20:54

YANBU I meant to type. My DCs early rises are catching up with me. Better give up and go to bed....

spiderlight · 24/09/2010 21:14

We were once nearly wipd out by a car driven (too fast) by a woman with a fag in one hand, mobile phone in the other and a 'Protected by Angels' bumper sticker Hmm

latermater · 24/09/2010 21:30

Sorry - bit off topic - but the one about "my other bumper sticker is funny" reminded me of my favourite ever t shirt slogan (on fat bloke carrying pint at festival) "my other body is a temple".

As you were. Great thread.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 24/09/2010 21:45

I want an "I brake for Morrissey" sticker

kidsncatsnwine · 24/09/2010 21:58

Monkeyfacegrace.. the Darwin is a humorous take on the christian Icthus.. the fish . The fish was an early symbol used by persecuted Christians trying to identify each other.

The Darwin version has little legs, symbolising evolution. I have had one on my car for years:)

EcoLady · 24/09/2010 22:01

monkeyfacegrace The Darwin fish are a direct counter to the Christian fish symbols.

I quite fancy a Flying Spaghetti Monster one!

BoojaB · 24/09/2010 22:11

Pfft, I would even parallel park for Morrissey! Sigh...

electra · 24/09/2010 22:15

Last week I saw a car that was sporting the words 'I'm not drunk, I'm avoiding potholes' - crazy imo

thederkinsdame · 24/09/2010 22:25

Just think... if it wasn't for all these car stickers and extras you can get (furry steering wheel covers - always seem to be present in fairy dust cars) then Halfords would be a corner shop rather than a superstore! Grin

I've just had a thought. Mumsnetters could have stickers saying 'powered by fruit shoots' then we could all give each other waves and knowing looks!

KickArseQueen · 24/09/2010 22:39

Hmmmmm I think a window of this would ID everyone nicely Wink

KickArseQueen · 24/09/2010 22:39

teaandcakeplease · 24/09/2010 22:42

Feeling rather childish as I'm laughing so much at that KickArse Grin
