can you post a link?

Tortington · 23/09/2010 15:16

on mn blog? i dont think there is

you could create a profile so people can click on your name and link directly to your blog

Angrylady01 · 23/09/2010 15:17

I am new here.

How do i read your blog?

Tortington · 23/09/2010 15:52

click on the 'blog' tab right at the top of the page in light blue above the 'food' tab

for those of us with brighter blue names ( see diff between me and spacehoppa?) you can click on our names and that will link you to the threads weve been on, blog and pictures - you can have one too if you create a profile

Spacehoppa · 23/09/2010 16:05

Thanks for the info Custardo-I think a lot of people don't know the blogs are there. Others when they try to blog can't work the app out. I haven't got mine swanky yet with pictures or anything but its still there on blogs with whatever my Miss has been getting up to most recently.I didn't know about the threadlinks-thanks- I am off to put a profile on...

I just had a look. YABU, it's dull.

Tortington · 23/09/2010 17:36

thats not necessary floopy, don't listen op

gingerwig · 23/09/2010 23:46

why is Floopy being criticised for a valid opinion?
OP I don't know about a blog counter.

As a general point, I do think once you have kids, your life is suddenly so bloody fascinating - TO YOU.

I think you have to be extremely talented to convey your everyday domestic dramas to the rest of the world in a way that is entertaining and interesting.Because we all have them

Scuttlebutter · 24/09/2010 00:03

OP there are many web/blog site counter stats available that will give you reams of fascinating information about where your viewers are from, what browser they use, which pages they visit, how they found your site, which search engine etc.... this can be very useful if you are serious about your blogging. Blogspot, which is one of the most commonly used blog sites ( I use it) even now has this in a simple form, built in, so you can accesss it from the dashboard. Before this, I was using a package called Stat Counter which I was happy with, I'm sure other people can recommend others. On a website, I use Google Analytics which again is very useful for monitoring site usage, user details, popular pages, etc .

Please don't worry about having small numbers to start with, it takes time to build up an audience, if that is important to you. It helps to be clear about who your intended audience is - if it is just for family and friends there is nothing wrong with that, but you won't be pulling in numbers like someone who is more outward looking. Horses for courses I think.

SassySusan · 24/09/2010 00:15

I'm writing a blog with Blogspot. I find I have become addicted to looking at the stats pages to see whose reading at the moment, where they live etc.

I also like the little graphs of hits over the month....

Yes - I know I'm sad Sad

gingerwig · 24/09/2010 00:23

Blush

Hi OP- I just had a look. I really like the washing up fairy story :)

Sassy I read your blog last night and was really moved by the content and how articulate and well written it was. ALthough I didnt see that it was updated everyday...

This is when i might sound odd... I have to admit following your 'story' somewhat on the bereavement boards. My family had a similar situation to yours when I was very young and I've lived in the repercussions ever since without it ever being discussed. I read those posts to try and understand how it was for my mother.

Ive a huge amount of respect for Sassy. Look after yourself.
