I went with DD1 and DD2 (2.5 and 7mo) to the GP surgery this morning for DD1's 2.5yr check. We positioned ourselves in the waiting room.......DD2 on my lap chewing a teething ring, DD1 happily playing with the few toys they have in the corner.

They were running a bit late and DD1 soon got bored. She wandered back over to where I was sitting with DD2 (having a little chat with the 4 or 5 other people in the waiting room on her way passed, just to make sure all eyes were on her). She got up onto the chair next to me and started quietly messing with my bag.

After a few moments I looked around to see what she was doing (fearing the contents of my purse were probably about to end up all over the floor), just in time to watch her hold aloft a tampon and exclaim to the waiting room "this goes up your bottom mummy!!"

I'm going to have to change GP aren't I? Blush

WitchyWooWoo · 17/09/2010 16:20

on the bright side, im sure your dd helped "cure" a lot of ill patients today. laughter is the best medicine. who knows you may even be hailed as a hero next time you book an appointment.

you poor dear lol

Nope, can't beat that. But did go to the bank recently and burst into tears (they'd screwed up and we had no money) in frustration. DD politely informed the flustered 12yr old cashier (and the rest of the bank) that 'mummy's having her period'. She's 3 ffs.

NestaFiesta · 17/09/2010 16:29

My DS1 answered the phone to our removal company and said "Mummy is upstairs on the toilet, she'll phone you later". When I phoned them back ten minutes later the woman started laughing at me and said "We know what you've been doing". I laughed it off at the time but we still used a different companyy after that.

babbi · 17/09/2010 16:32

Sorry , can't beat that ! Made me laugh though so thanks ... Also Raised you need to change banks lol

juneybean · 17/09/2010 16:33

Hahaha @ RaisedFromPerdition

sapphireblue · 17/09/2010 16:55

I haven't a clue if everyone was laughing or not......I went redder than I've ever been before in my life and kind of hid my face behind DD2 and my bag whilst shoving the darn thing back in.

Hairdye could be an option I suppose....maybe some dark glasses too!

Thanks for the laugh sapphireblue, I needed that! Just remember that you can tell the story in front of dd's friends when shes older for revenge. Grin

Nanniejo · 17/09/2010 17:23

She obviously doesn't know what embarrassment is yet? Once she does, it won't seem so funny!Grin

TrillianAstra · 17/09/2010 17:26

You just have to remember to mention it at every opportunity when she is 15.

motherbeyond · 17/09/2010 17:42

Grin..ohhhhhh,the shame!!
