for DD1's 'sound table' at school.

She has to take in an object that starts with the sounds for the week, this week is 'l' and she took a ladle, easy.
Next week it is 'i' as in 'igloo'.
I cannot think of anything that she can take in that works for 4 year olds
image - weird word for 4 year olds
imprint - ditto
ice - well, quite.

My dd had to draw something beginning with "i" (short "i") for her phonics homework and then cut out pictures of things beginning with the same sound.

She drew an ink bottle and cut out pictures of ink cartidges and an inflatable swimming pool. If you use that one, you might want to use something smaller, like a balloon!
