To wonder why some people on facebook think their status updates are remotely interesting?

I just read one from someone I know that basically outlined all her chores she'd completed today. Why would she think anyone would be even remotely interested?

Actually I wouldn't mind reading about people starting fights on Netto car park. That's much better than 'spuds for tea tonight'. Mind you if they all that yoof text speak I've no idea what they are on about.

I must admit I did get drawn into the Netto carpark scrap update, not posting on it, but furiously refreshing every 30 seconds to devour more details I was furious when she deleted the thread

Can anyone walk me through how actually to hide someone's status updates, please? I don't want to offend this person by de-friending them, but am getting sick of her several times daily comments on daytime tv and what's on!
