Went to the gym this afternoon, saw a sign at the front desk "if you'd like your friend to get money off, please leave there details here".

While my card was being swiped, I pointed out it should be "their" and apologised for being anal and laughed and asked if they could change it. Even when I explained the mistake the receptionist still looked at me blankly ....

Please, tell me, do I mention it to school or just let it pass? It's (shush) a grammar school.

I pointed out a similar 'there' when it should be 'their' error in M&S. The woman thanked me and changed it to 'they're'

Urgh. I had a sign on dd's nursery on her first day last week asking us to use the side entrance because there were bees in the lights and 'their' buzzing around the room... Bit my tongue quite hard and let it go although from a private school I would have expected better even from the nursery class staff!!

'technologgy'? Don't judge though, might have a reason for such a gross error.

I think they may do it to give Pedants' Corner something to moan about.
