In two weeks I have offered over 10 things including a corner suite.

I also asked for a lawnmower or strimmer as my Dad has broke mine Hmm.

I thought I would ask again today and got a snotty mods email stating they would not be posting my ad as I didn't leave a long enough period of time between asking for the same thing and in future I should wait two weeks - fair enough but last time I asked was a fortnight ago Confused.

So my ask was pulled but the woman who is always asking for a flatscreen and Ds games is posted.

I was rejected - I was a member of another group (no piss taking at any time previously, I can assure you!), moved to the town we're in now, applied to the local group and was rejected. No explanation, the decision was final, and don't bother contacting the moderator as the decision was final. I'm rather intrigued..!

Oh, the Freegle groups are just as bad - our local one is run by a right jobsworth who amongst other pettiness wouldn't let a friend ask for something to be used for a play because it wasn't recycling (?!?) and refused to let me post that I was leaving something outside my house (tried 4 times to give it away, got fed up with no-shows) to first come first served as "it wasn't fair".

Was it less fair not to let local freecyclers know about it?

I stopped using Freecycle because of the impossible moderater in my area. I feel your pain!

Oh no, it's OK - I knew you weren't accusing me. Every so often I do wonder why I was rejected, esp. when posts about Freecycle crop up Smile

Niceguy2 · 15/09/2010 20:55

The Freecycler's who split became Freegle.

Dunno about now but before, the main reasons for rejecting was if you thought a member was not living in the area, or members of multiple Freecycle groups.

Personally i rarely rejected anyone.
