to allow my son to wear odd socks?

It started with two pairs of Ivor the Engine socks - one with Jones the Steam and one with Idris the Dragon and he always mixed them to wear one of each.

This has developed into a little idiosyncracy where he now mixes up his stripy socks - different coloured stripes, his animal socks - two different animals etc.

I am a little worried other mothers judge me for letting him out with odd socks or other children will tease him at school!

I wear odd socks almost every day that I don't anticipate taking my shoes off. My DH laughs at me but I think if they're not showing anyway, a matching pair of socks means two clean ones.

But they are not odd he has another pair just the same at home!!!

God in this house as long as they're approximately the same size then they're not odd. Although sometimes I have been known to wear one trainer sock and one of Ds1's socks that only fits me in a trainer sock kind of way.

So no, if you can find 2 socks, whatever colour, design or size then wear them.

I love odd socks - saves having to spend time pairing them all up!

In fact, there are even companies who specialise in odd socks.
These come in packs of three and are designed to be worn as odd. All similar but different!

I wear odd socks regardless of wether I'll have my feet out or not!

I gave up pairing them years ago :o

why o why do MNers not seem to exist in RL? I thought I was the only odd socker!

When i helped in the infant's class I noticed that there were more kids with odd socks than matching, so I don't think anyone needs to worry!
