Grin

Reading through some of these threads has made me much more aware of the other side of the fence as 'twere. (I am a teacher)

SO! In preperation for 4 years time when DD starts school what do I need to know? I have a feeling it will take me 4 years to fully understand how that side of the playground works as I have not really come across much being a middle school teacher not primary.

what playground politics? I keep out of it and let the kids sort it out themselves

YABU - I would just not look at these threads for the next 4 years and enjoy the fun times with your 1 year old.

ARSE BLANKETS!

Yes it was a typo, I was very busy shoving pizza into my face doing important teacher things.

Just smile and be friendly and you'll be fine. I've had one go through to secondary and one in Y3 and never had a problem.

am watching thread with interest as DS has just started full time school and his school playground seems be full of right unfriendly fuckers. (the parents i mean not the kids! :o ) its only day 3 but i have now decided to just drop / pick up and run,and not try to smile or make conversation. i have got my own friends, i dont need to make more anyway! /rant
