He is at that really cute, just 2 year old, phase where he comes out with new words everyday, is so excited about everything around him, tries to keep up with his older brothers, and is generally so proud of himself when he does anything.

He is definitely my last and I just want to keep him like this and not let him grow up.

AIBU?

Grin 2 yrs old? the time of tantrums and poos behind the sofa?

That said, I do find myself wishing I could go back to the beginning with my 2 (now 10 & 11) and relive the whole thing because I don't feel I enojyed them enough.

I look at photos of my lads as babies and wish I could have that time again.

But you can't. When it's gone it's gone.

And every stage is lovely anyway.

Oh I do know what you mean. I only have one and I think it will stay that way and I feel that I haven't appreciated each stage before the next one happens& I don't know how to freexe time.

God yes! I am so relieved dd is now a teenager! She is great to talk to and also we have more time to ourselves.

I'm the same. DS2 is 4 and starts school tomorrow. I just adore him at this age - he's so affectionate and funny. With DS1 I kept on saying things like 'I can't wait til he can walk/talk/read' etc. Now with DS2 (like you, he's my last child and obviously my baby) I just want him to stay exactly as he is. Although with DS1 I can also remember saying to DH almost every month 'Oh he's at the best age now.' Bless them.

I have two older boys too of 9 and 6 so I know what there is to look forward to, and I really do look forward to not having nappies, pushchairs etc. But this time of waking to the world and wonderment and visible development day by day is so lovely!

No your not
The age between 2 and 3and a half is the best

They are really funny and nice at this age

DS is 14 weeks and probably my last (hormonal denial of practical fact)

I've wanted to freeze him every week so far, then the next week thought "but I'd have missed this wonderful bit if I had".

So YANBU
And YABU

You are so NBU - I have an adorable DD almost the same age and he's just so absolutely gorgeous I have to stop myself from demanding that he kiss me every time I pick him up just because his lips are so cute when screws them up for a kiss. Even his tantrums are adorable.

I really don't want another DC (I have three) but DD2 is starting school this week and I'm so sad that my babies are growing up.

Yes, ds3 can be a right pain sometimes, but he so makes up for it by how cute he is. I don't remember the other two being this cute! It probably helps that in a family of people with dark brown straight hair, ds3 has blond curls!
