Medical Emergency?

It happened a few weeks ago, but would I have been unreasonable to phone for an ambulance?

I was showering. I was using Radox 'relaxing' shower gel, full of lavender or camomile or something. I had washed one side of me and had run out of the shower gel so I used another bottle for the other half of me. After I was dry I realised The other bottle was an 'Energising' shower gel. Clearly a terrifying experience.

Should I have dialed 999? What could I have done if being half relaxed and half refreshed had left me only able to walk in circles and unable to reach the phone at all!?

I survived, but I'm still concerned about possible long term effects.

Are there any support groups out there?

I'd dial 999 immediately.

Just to be on the safe side. You don't know. You could be moments from some catastrophe.

Do it.

I think a good Reiki treatment should re-balance you. Call your local alternative therapy clinic in the morning and ask for an emergency appointment. You can't be too careful - why on earth did you leave it this long? If no Reiki practitioners available locally, Acupuncture should work too.

FunnysInTheGarden · 04/09/2010 00:00

my GOD, you need to call an ambulance right NOW, this could be fatal

tethersend · 04/09/2010 00:01

I think they may have to amputate one side of you.

The good news is, you get to choose which half. I'd go for the relaxed one, as the energised side probably won't take it too well.

weegiemum · 04/09/2010 00:03

You need to reverse the effects by having an aromatherapy session providing the "alternative" energy to each side!

franklampoon · 04/09/2010 00:06

Did your husband leave both bottles within reach?
He is an abuser.

I don't get the joke? Is it from a tv show?

TiggyD · 04/09/2010 00:10

I've been taking each day as it comes since The Incident. I suppose I'm facing a lifetime on my own now I'm totally unmarriable.

And look what happens when I use the blink smiley:

NotanOtter · 04/09/2010 00:12

nhs direct NOW

franklampoon · 04/09/2010 00:12

I would also complain to the school governor, the queen, and the editor of the Daily Mail

Starbuck999 · 04/09/2010 00:13

On a side note - I find NHS direct annoying.

tethersend · 04/09/2010 00:14

Try and think of the positives. I mean, you'll be blinding in a three legged race.

Habbibu · 04/09/2010 00:16

You wash a side at a time? Fraek.

TiggyD · 04/09/2010 00:24

Yes I do Habbibu. I used to do it alphabetically but I couldn't think what the back of my knees were called. (Knee-pits?)

hahaha thanks you made me laugh so much

acebaby · 04/09/2010 08:17

TiggyD - Just phoned NHS direct on your behalf. They advised washing the the side you washed with energising showergel a few weeks ago with relaxing showergel and vice versa. You should do this as soon as possible.

If you can't remember which side was which then OOH I'm afraid. No need for 999

I have heard of an experimental treatment being trialled in the USA. It does involve prancing and wearing lace and tie dye.

Northernlurker · 04/09/2010 09:28

Get a grip OP - some people live with this kind of thing on a daily basis and still manage to raise 18 children, volunteer at Samaritans and work 40 hours a week as an investment banker. It isn't all about YOU you know. Just try thinking of other people and try to live up to their standards!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 04/09/2010 09:48

I've filled in your details on NHS direct, they say go to Casualty.
