to feed my children in a trough in the garden?

I was thinking that if I bought a trough (or had one made? Can one buy troughs these days? I've not found anything on the John Lewis website) I could put it in the garden and empty a pail of slops into the trough three times a day and my children could be as revolting as their hearts desired.

I've been doing the 'healthy food, lovingly cut up and served on brightly coloured melamine plates with age appropriate cutlery, served with a parent or two either sitting with or eating too' approach, but how long am I supposed to keep on when it clearly isn't working?

All that is missing from the dining room is some rude graffiti on the walls and it would look like we'd been done over.

That sounds like an excellent plan this website seems to have different sizes depending on how many of the little animals you are catering for.

They also do lovely looking dog runs, which look scarily like the playpen we had as children Grin

I think long run it could cause back and neck damage. Perhaps a nose bag?

Thanks for the link AMiS. I might be able to get a coordinating pail with a simple black trough.

Well of course, your pail has to co-ordinate! What would the neighbours say if you had just any old pail?

use a paddling pool instead of a trough, then they can bath in it, thats usually what my dc looks like he's been doing after he's eaten

you can also just hose them down before they come back into the house, saving on bathtime

YunoYurbubson · 02/09/2010 15:58

Good idea, but they have filled the paddling pool with mud.

majafa · 02/09/2010 16:51

Yep, trough and then hose em down before you let them back in the hose Grin
