I used to want to be the girl in Flashdance or dance in Fame. I guess that was the 80's for me and what about all of you mn's?.
I just put the song onto FD and had a little dance, my dd laughed but joined in,I will relive my lost youth but will probably ache tomorrow.Grin.

I would go back to last week and stop that woman throwing the cat in the bin

KarmaAngel · 25/08/2010 21:57

I'd go back to the 90's when I was a teenager and fucking party like I was supposed too. Instead of whimpering on about wanting to settle down at the age of 18. Hmm I party more now I'm 32 (and have a live in babysitter - DSD Grin) than I did when I was 17!

Oh I'd also like to back to the 80's and party then too. I'm sensing a theme here. May have something to do with the Bacardi I'm drinking. Wink

I'd go back to the summer of 1997 and do exactly what I did then... fall in love with (now) DH, stay with my grandparents (who are sadly dead now), hang out on the beach, not care about having no money, plan my future. That was a great summer, when New Labour still seemed like a wonderful idea and the Spice Girls made girl power popular. I'd realise I was thin and pretty back then(as opposed to now!).

PaulineCampbellJones · 25/08/2010 22:13

Back to the 80s and make sure I saw The Smiths live. 1991 and relive my first year at uni all over again.

Lynli · 25/08/2010 22:20

Go back to when I weighed 8 stone 4lbs and not think I was fat and go on a diet.

LouMacca · 26/08/2010 17:11

twopeople - private reasons.

SpringHeeledJack · 26/08/2010 17:19

do you have to go back to a point in your RL?

or anywhere you like?

...I'd pick the mid 90s when me and my mates all discovered clubbing in our late 20s/early 30s. Twas a hoot. I wouldn't do any of it differently either...

otherwise I'd like to be a Bright Young Thing in the thirties. A communist with a title like one of the Mitfords. Or summink like that.

Not a dock worker or in service if that's at all possible ta v much Smile

Snobear4000;

You have crossed one massive line. If you have a problem with me, and you obviously have, deal with me...don't bring my parents sex life into it just so you can get a cheap laugh ( not that what you said was remotely funny) I should ask for your post to be deleted but I'll let it stay, just to show everyone what a childish fool you are.

You disgust me.

Bonkerz · 27/08/2010 08:51

i would go back to 1997 because my life was fab then! no responsibilities, lots of sex and lots of people who loved me!

Tas1 · 27/08/2010 12:22

I would go back to October 1999 and tell my Dad that I loved him, before he slipped into a coma and passed away.
He had already slipped into a coma before I got to him, so didn't get to say goodbye.

Pheebe · 27/08/2010 12:50

I have a list...

I'd go back to September 22 2004 (the night DS1 was born) about 12 pm, after eveyone had gone and left me, him and DH alone and relive those first few hours of being a mum.

Then I'd go back to November 11 2007 (the night DS2 was born) to the moment he started to crown and give birth to him again. It was utterly painless but I lost the plot and did some embarrassing screamy things I'd rather not have done. They I'd hold him all night long again.

2 July 2001 - the day I met DH and I'd pluck up the courage to snog him there and then instead of making him wait 4 months

14 December 2002 and marry DH all over again

Any time in my early teens so I could give my grandparents one last hug and tell them I have 2 beautiful boys and a wonderful husband now

Any time in the late Victorian era (so long as I was rich) so I could wear the dresses and astound everyone with my clever mind

That'll do for now...

love u nan and grandad xxx
