to dislike baby photo competitions?

I just really dislike them, I know that they are a bit of fun for many who enter their babies, but I really don't like them as I consider a popularity/looks contests totally icky for small children. I can't even articulate why. AIBU? I am genuinely curious about whether or not others share my view.
