I've just inadvertently caught sight of myself in the mirror and it got me wondering!

We went out to visit a friend this morning, so I was wearing make-up and my jeans etc. Then I came home and put on my old maternity tracksuit bottoms with the horribly baggy knees. I have rubbed my eyes so now have black smudges underneath (does a great job of emphasising the eye bags!!). My black top has a big baby sick stain on the shoulder.

This is pretty much what my DH is faced with every day when he gets in from work. Not good, right?

Sapphire,

Buy yourself a couple of nice new lounging outfits. Nothing flash but something you feel nice in that is comfy and fits.

Next/M&S do great pjs that are borderline lounging/slobbing in style outfits.

I had some lovely yoga pants from white company after DD was born, paired with a white vest and a drapey cardi I was comfy and decent to receive visitors.

Gap often have their basic vests on offer for a few pounds, I always stock up on a few in each colour and they get worn to death round the house as well as for layering etc. A plentiful supply of clean tops is the bare minimum for feeling decent about yourself.

Sapphire go to New Look, they have nice stuff in 18/20 and not too pricey. Just choose comfortable stuff in colours you like.

If I were you Id get myself to the hairdresser too and get a restyle, cut and colour, maybe some highlights. Go midweek for discounts.

Some nice colours and decent hair always lifts my mood and doesnt have to cost a fortuneGrin
