Sorry but LOL LOL LOL.

mmmperuna · 23/08/2010 18:12

Just be careful you don't get it passed on to you

sloanypony · 23/08/2010 18:13

Jock itch.

My DH gets this. Its quite unpleasant. Hard to get rid of properly once you've got it.

DH has tried all the creams. He has found the most useful thing of all is drying "down there" with my hairdryer for 30 seconds after a shower.

Dont laugh at him...he's probably been suffering in silence for a fair while!

(or laugh at him, but Karma might give you a nasty dose of thrush as payback - which is all athlete's foot is, really...ever had thrush?)

Greensleeves · 23/08/2010 18:13

I said "I knew you were a shortarse, but..."

he is being very very quiet now Blush

Meemah · 23/08/2010 18:13

I think I would have laughed so much that while trying not to a little bit of pee might have escaped! A snigger is very restrained Grin

Greensleeves · 23/08/2010 18:14

no he has not been suffering in silence, he hasn't stopped fucking moaning for about a week

I've told him he might want to give the yogic flying a miss for the time being Grin

OP posts:
BuzzingNoise · 23/08/2010 18:15

snigger. Poor sod though! Get him to use talcom powder once it's ak cleared up.

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 23/08/2010 18:15

Ooooh.

I'm trying not to laugh, but I have to admit I had athlete's foot (on my foot) recently and it was so painful it made me cry.

GetOrfMoiLand · 23/08/2010 18:17

lol you heartless sod Grin

What did he say when you said yogic flying? Grin

Greensleeves · 23/08/2010 18:18

I'm not sure Getorf, he mumbled it a bit, but it rhymed with "too rich" Grin

sloanypony · 23/08/2010 18:39

DH likes to have a good scratch when he gets home from work.

What cream did the GP give? Was it something available over the counter or some kind of super GP only secret magic cream?

Greensleeves · 23/08/2010 18:41

it's just athlete's foot cream, it has a big picture of a foot on the front

poor old dh, his afflictions are always ridiculous

he was diagnosed last year with a "little fatty ball" at the base of his spine

OP posts:
nappyzoneloveschinesefood · 23/08/2010 18:45

oh my dh has this and he is also short, he also gets it in his armpit and is advised to go without deodrant till it clears which is far worse. He sits about airing his bits a fair bit which i find most unpleasant.

southeastastra · 23/08/2010 18:47

ooh painful, ds had it on his foot and it looked really raw and sore - can't imagine how it must feel on his privates Grin poor thing

Greensleeves · 23/08/2010 18:47

aw, I don't mind him fanning his bits if it makes him feel better, in fact have already volunteered my hairdryer (between guffaws)

I did offer to put the cream on for him, but he told me to phuck off Grin

OP posts:
sloanypony · 23/08/2010 19:13

Little fatty ball? Now that is something worth having.

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/08/2010 21:58

GS that was not very gracious of him was it?? fancy telling you to phuck off

MoralDefective · 23/08/2010 22:56

DH uses sudo crem on piles....i do NOT offer to put it on for him...bleurgh

Lurve · 24/08/2010 06:13

Pffft, there are some ridiculous double standards on these boards.

Imagine if a Woman had come on here and said that her husband had been sniggering at her because she had thrush. Imagine the comments, you would all be like "kick him to the kerb" "tell him to "fuck off" "you're better off without him". And flaming torches and pitchforks would be the order of the day.

Jeez there are some spiteful bitter women on here.

stoppinattwo · 24/08/2010 06:23

Lurve...its called making fun of a situation..

You need to get a sense opf humour and stop trying to turn a thread into something it isnt you silly woman !!! Grin.....have you had your morning tea yet, it is rather early to be so grumpy?

Lurve · 24/08/2010 06:47

As I said, double standards.

I'm not trying to turn a thread into something it isn't, it really isn't something thats very funny, nor is thrush, but look at the Lols and grins and sniggers on here!

Don't confuse being grumpy with something else entirely.

Mumsnet is getting some very bad press out there (just do a google search!) and its threads like these that are doing it no favours.

janajos · 24/08/2010 07:01

This thread has made me laugh out loud!! And I haven't had my morning tea yet. I think Lurve, there's not enough love in your household this morning or you might find it funny too.

BeenBeta · 24/08/2010 07:15

Greensleeves - it is very infectious. Make sure has his own towels and when he has applied the cream he washes his hands very very carefully.

Does he play a lot of sport? Most blokes get it at ome stage of their life if they do. Teenage boys especially. It really is uncomfortable.
