Have you read Toddler Taming? It saved my life.

ShinyAndNew · 20/08/2010 10:40

I'll swap you for mine. I think she is broken. Her hearing is definitely broken. She cannot hear "no" or "get dressed" or "please don't throw that" at all, but she can hear "Who would like ice cream" from three rooms away!

Her fear button is also stuck to off. She will just walk out of the house alone and wander off to god knows where given half the chance. She will also just throw herself in the deep end of the pool, despite not being able to swim. She won't wear arm bands or a ring, she just dangles precariously in the water, clutching a noodle.

Her attention span is approximately that of gnat and she either "Can't do it mummy" (when she quite clearly can, or "Me do it. NO ME DO IT. ME DO IT WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH" when it is something that would be physically impossible for her to achieve.

She is also related to Houdini.

I'll throw in a nearly 9 yr old too if that helps!

There is a 15 year old stuck in my 3 year olds body does someone have the correct tool for extracting him!

AlCrowley · 20/08/2010 15:56

I think I have Shiny's toddler's identical twin brother!

karyncake · 20/08/2010 16:05

Do you know where we take them back to?
Mine broke about a year and a half ago and I didnt keep the receipt.

RunningOutOfIdeas · 20/08/2010 16:11

Can anybody tell me where the 'off' switch is on my toddler? Or at least the sleep function?

She also seems to be stuck on "no mummy I can do it".

sapphireblue · 20/08/2010 16:42

mine has got some serious faults and I'm a bit worried it's the manufacturer's fault.

ShinyAndNew · 20/08/2010 16:44

Runningoutofideas, I believe the off switch can be located by arranging something that the toddler must be awake for, like a development check/doc's appointment.

pushmepullyou · 20/08/2010 16:48

I can't find an off switch or the volume control. Plus she seems to be stuck on 'repeat'. Can anyone tell me how to tale the batteries out?

macdoodle · 20/08/2010 16:49

Am having a panic attack at the thought of going to collect mine from the CM, the older girls are playing nicely , my house is clean and tidy and I am calm. That should last oooh all of 30seconds once she is home!

as my sister said today, "when she's good, she's absolutely adorable, and when she's bad, she's bloody horrid"

Mine had everready batteries in and I've lost the screwdriver for the battery cover Grin

piprabbit · 20/08/2010 16:51

Can you drop mine back too, when you go?

Please.

pozzled · 20/08/2010 16:53

There must be a faulty batch. Mine also has no sleep function, no volume control and is stuck on 'auto repeat'.

Dylan44 · 20/08/2010 16:53

Unfortunately toddler mode broke long ago on my model and I only have sulking teenager setting now!

piprabbit · 20/08/2010 16:56

The intermittent memory problems also affect my 6yo.
Anything to do with sweets, the park or DVDs are automatically stored to long term memory.
Anything to do with bath time, tidying up and putting on shoes is lost immediately.
