Probably being U to be so bloody angry but fgs!

Trying to save a few pennies so bought some lipstick and face powder on eBay last monday and paid overpriced P&P IMO. Neither have turned up and despite my pleading emails, don't think I am going to get them. :( I'm £12 out of pocket which isn't a load of cash but it's enough to warrant me being mightily pissed off.

Bloody scammers! Angry

start a dispute

cupcakesandbunting · 18/08/2010 20:58

I've started disputes before and IME nothing happens. They get a little ticking off from eBay but that's it.

I am feeling disproportionate amounts of hatred for these people!

If you paid by paypal though ebay will refund you, so annoying but not out of pocket hopefully?

cupcakesandbunting · 18/08/2010 21:06

I did pay by PayPal! i didn't know they would refund.

Now, I am going to hold a contest; who can write the most pithy put-down in 80 characters that I can leave by way of feedback? Grin

cheap make up - I can recommend NYC from Superdrug and their MUA make up. the MUA does a brilliant long lasting face powder for £1. that's right, £1. all the mUA products are £1. the NYC foundation is also v v good and is about a fiver. lippy from barry m is great too.

sorry that does not help re ebay, but if you are looking for cheap stuff, it's there on the high street

cupcakesandbunting · 18/08/2010 21:14

Thanks, Lulumaam :)

I usually buy Origins stuff because I have really sensitive skin (rosacea on one cheek :() and cheaper stuff just aggravates it. Origins seems to be free of the chemicals that make rosacea worse. When it flares up, it looks like I've been on the cooking sherry Grin

no probs. [hope you get sorted Smile

JaneS · 18/08/2010 21:41

I hope you get your money back.

Btw, I have sensitive skin/ eyes and find Tesco eye makeup is one of the few that works - imo the eyeliner pencils are far better than any of the poncy brands.

sloanypony · 18/08/2010 22:25

Yep, that's what the buyer protection thing is all about - eBay would have folded years ago if people just took it lying down. Dispute! (I know you've said you will I just wanted to say it! Grin )

Myleetlepony · 18/08/2010 22:34

If you start a Paypal dispute you will get your money back. Unless a seller sent the goods by a trackable method, and has proof of delivery, the buyer gets a refund.

PotPourri · 18/08/2010 22:38

Start a dispute. Y~ou will get the money back - or the goods if hte seller pulls their finger out. EBay always favour the buyers

horatia · 18/08/2010 23:08

"Item not received, no response to emails, dispute opened, seller not recommended"

ccpccp · 19/08/2010 10:17

Ebay always sides with the buyer - you will get your money back, and rightly so.

I sell a lot of stuff on ebay and on the flip side this buyer support is one of the reasons the site is going downhill. There are professional scammers out there ordering goods and claiming non-delivery to get the money back. Ebay will side with them even if there is recorded delivery evidence from Royal Mail.

MrsLevinson · 19/08/2010 10:40

Definitely start a dispute! A couple of months ago I ordered a necklace that didn't turn up, despite me paying to have it sent registered post. All my emails to the seller were ignored, until I opened a dispute. As soon as I did that I got an apology and a refund from the seller, and ebay gave me a £5 compensation voucher. Even better, a week or so later I found the same necklace for half the price and bought it with no problems. Good Luck !

cupcakesandbunting · 19/08/2010 11:18

I've started a dispute. The dozey mare doesn't have any record of delivery so that's her stupid mistake. If you charge £2.50 for delivery of a LIPSTICK (!) then you should be sending recorded (it's about 97p to second an item that size by recorded mail)

It's the attitude of the seller that's narked me. I hope she breaks a nail or something. Angry I'm feeling very angry today. Need a massage and some gin, I think!
