I've just had a slice of toffee and pecan cheesecake and it made me feel MUCH better. I'd recommend it. Grin

On a serious note, my friend tells me that its quite normal after having a baby to feel angry most/all/a lot of the time with one's DP/DH, and that it doesn't mean anything.

Is this true?

God yes! I couldn't agree with anything more!

I had my escape plan all figured out (complete with me losing 3 stone and finding an apartment, ....well, you get the idea!) and you would struggle to find a lovelier dh than mine.

This too shall pass.

Odysseus · 12/08/2010 20:21

Really??? I thought she was just humouring me.
Oh goodo. I'll continue ignoring him childishly then, safe in the knowledge it doesn't mean we're going to get divorced. Awesome.

I can see how it makes sense thinking about it...the lack of sleep and the ability of DH (in my case anyway) to ignore the dishwasher/hoover/washing machine/insert domestic chore here - on top of the hormonal upheaval.

cupcakesandbunting · 12/08/2010 20:25

Toffee and pecan cheesecake, you say?

Telme where you got it? Pleeeeeeeeeease? I must have some!

cupcakesandbunting · 12/08/2010 20:25

*tell me, even.

OrmRenewed · 12/08/2010 20:29

On a serious note it is normal to feel irritable with one's DP. Full stop. Grin

Waitrose have a lovely lemon cheesecake on offer at the moment

Now was so not the time for DH to come and tell me the shelves he's spent all evening fiddle-farting around with, putting holes all over my kitchen, don't even support the weight of the few books he's wanting to put on there.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tesco Finest cupcakes! Blardy marvellous, I might even have another slice for my breakfast! ShockBlush

pjmama · 13/08/2010 09:06

Love the term "fiddle-farting"! I will be adopting that into my vocabulary forthwith.

Odysseus · 13/08/2010 09:16

Is it not a term widely used? Have I made it up? I use it every day at least twice. Annoys the DH.

Its a combination of hormones, tiredness, and men not being primary carer thus not knowing how to help/what to do... it. Will pass.
