To not mention a health condition when booking travel insurance?

If we get proper travel insurance mentioning a pre existing health condition it will cost £65.
If we don't, it'll cost £28.
We have European health cards.
What do other people do?!
I know it's cautious to do so but I feel as if I've spent my whole life pouring money into insurance and never ever claiming.

Don't worry I'm getting it now!
Great advice, I didn't really want to not get it, I just feel so depressed when I see how much it costs!
But of course, if you need it you need it and then it's cheap!
And 80s chick I'm looking into doing just that in future.

Seriously! I am getting proper insurance.... I just wanted to be reminded why I absolutely had to do it!
Prostrate respect for the expertise here as always, very grateful and chastened!

Last time I went abroad I got my insurance with the Post Office. As someone said earlier, I had a phone call with them to discuss my asthma. They asked me lots of questions about medication and things, and then I was offered the choice of either a policy covering everything, or a cheaper one excluding the asthma. I chose the former because I am very cautious, but to be honest the latter would probably have been fine as my asthma is pretty mild and well controlled.

Just booked some with World First, £5 cheaper than Diabetes UK, who seem to specialise in pre existing med conditions.

Thanks for advice!
