Kids are with their dad, I am cooking dinner for me and DP, I have been mad busy all day so AIBU to think I should open the bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge????
It was a birthday gift to me and I think it would go well with the lamb and peppers stuffed with couscous I am making for dinner.

I'm not sure I understand; you're asking if you should drink wine? What else were you planning on doing with it? Launch a ship?

I have two Magnums (not ice cream) in my fridge that are 7 or 8 years old, a mini bottle of champagne BA gave me for flying on my 18th birthday (I'm 29) and a bottle of pink wine I got for Valentines Day two years ago. All waiting for a reason to open them...
