i been at my mums all morning, and just came home to see SIL statues ( my nephews mother) that i hope xxxxx gets well soon and asked what the matter...he has chicken pox and been with dd 14 months for a good hour playing with out my brother even mentioning it.

what makes it worse is that my sister is pregnant, so if she had came home she would of been put at risk also

Didn't you see spots?

And as far as I know (although I may be wrong) by the time you know they've got chicken pox, they're no longer infectious.

Also, your brother probably never thought to mention it! You know what men are like

didn't see any spots, but as it a bit cold he was covered up

Not unreasonable.

Chicken pox is contagious from three days before the spots show until the last spot has crusted over - usually about ten days in all.

Is it likely that SIL saw a spot or two (heat rash?) and jumped to conclusions? CP is usually pretty obvious.
