DDs 5 and 6 'share' a DS.This am , one wants to play on it, but game they want not in box or case. AIBU to have to have taken DS and all other games away until they find these 2 (teeny-weeny v expensive) game cards? They think so...

A bit unreasonable for they are very easy to misplace. Have you checked all their pockets in the laundry basket? I have put game cards through the washing machine more than once.

I have a ds and my daughter has one - its always me that loses games, fav places to hide include:down the side of the couch, in a differnet box and on random surfaces where i have been too lazy to find the box to put it away (think top of microwave etc).

I would just help them find it and get it over with!

YABU. They are only 5 and 6. These games are very easy to misplace. So just help them find it.

YANBU they need to learn to look after their things, especially if they are shared.

We bought a couple of cases which hold 9 games each for ours instead of using the bulky games boxes they come in. That way when ours want to change a game they have them all in one place and have somewhere to put the old game when they get the new one out.

Have tried to help them find them, but I have no idea where they could be.
Honest, I did try first before removing toy, this is not first, second or even third time.

Are they usually good with them, or are they chucking their stuff all over the place?
I think that makes a difference.

DD has an R4 card for her DS, and if she takes it out to put a proper game in, then I keep hold of it.

If they aren't looking after them, or even trying then YANBU

I think it has got to point where there has to be a consequence for their actions. They need to take more care of their stuff. I say it till am blue in face so have gone to extreme I suppose. But these f'ing games cost nearly £20. Two lost. I can't afford to replace them. But I love my babes, and want them to enjoy the things we have for them. I don't want them to worry all the time about where things are. Fed up with own thoughts.Just cannot get it right...
