DH, DP

I've just been on another thread and lots of people were talking about toileting. Got me thinking, it seems lots of people don't mind.

So that's my question would you?.

OP posts:
curlymama · 29/07/2010 10:20

No, although I have to endure seeing him poo on ocassions. It just seems uneccesary, I want this man to fancy me and treat me like a Goddess. Surely there is a better chance of that happenning if he doesn't see (or smell!) things like that.

I don't shave my armpits infront of him either. Legs yes, armpits no.

KurriKurri · 29/07/2010 10:23

He wees with the bathroom door half open, and I will wee in front of him in an emergency, - but who wants to share poo-time????

Having said that when I was very ill a year or so back, he helped me to the loo and held me there so I didn't fall off!! - But that comes under the heading of nursing which of course I'd happily do for him if needed.

upahill · 29/07/2010 10:24

Why do you have to see him poo Curly?

Even in our old house when the loo and the bathroom were together we would always have the curtesy to wait until the other had finished in the bathroom?

sockmonkey · 29/07/2010 10:36

Wee yes, Poo no.
DH has been known to ring/text me from toilet at work. Grim.

ReasonableDoubt · 29/07/2010 10:36

Wee yes, poo no

curlymama · 29/07/2010 10:39

Upahill, he refuses to shut the door! So I walk in there in all innocence, probably to clean up after him or ds's, and get hit with an eyeful!

At least when he goes in there with his latest car magazine I have some forewarning, but I shouldn't get started on that, I HATE seeing magazines and books in other peoples toilets. I don't want to know what people are reading while they are sat having a shit! (smile)

minipie · 29/07/2010 10:44

Wee yes.

Poo - generally not, but if he's in the middle of brushing his teeth or something I won't make him leave. unless I have an upset tummy or something and it really smells... DH is more prudish than me and makes me leave if he wants a poo.

boobmanagement · 29/07/2010 11:04

My DH squeezed a spot that was too hard for me to squeeze. It was a blocked milk spot on my nipple. He squeezed it and it exploded a rancid smelly cheesy stuff all over him. True love, ah! He also asks me to squeeze any spots on his back that he can't reach.

ellenjames · 29/07/2010 11:12

wee yes anything else def no!

sparkle1977 · 29/07/2010 11:18

Oh dear, looks like our house is very uncivilised then!!

Both me and DH will wee and poo even in front of the other. Saying that tho wees are ok but we do only poo in the presence of the other if absolutely necessary generally.

DH also sees me changing tampons if he wanders into the bathroom when I am in there, like before bed. Its no big deal ?

We have two young DC's so trying to close the bathroom door in our house just doesn't work when they open it and come bounding in with lorries etc etc

missmiss · 29/07/2010 11:26

Wee yes, poo no although I was caught short once when he was in the shower and I had no choice!

I have also changed tampons in front of him; he was curious so I showed him! Not planning on making a habit of that, though...

5DollarShake · 29/07/2010 11:31

Wee - only if desperate, and I don't think I ever have been that desperate (except once on hols to Cornwall, when I squatted down behind a rock out of sight and he leaned over and took a photo).

Poo - never.

I am not a precious type, but there is something inherently undignified - and certainly unalluring - about sitting on the loo with your trousers around your feet.

BarbieLovesKen · 29/07/2010 11:35

Oh thank you Sparkele and Missmiss - was beginning to feel like a bit of a lunatic there!!!!!!!

....at least theres 3 of us now

Jasonthunderpants · 29/07/2010 11:45

We will wee infront of each other, but we dont go and watch on purpose

I have no choice about weeing or pooing in front of dc as they think it is a spectator sport, then ds 2 and 1/2 usually looks down toilet and runs off gagging

confuddledDOTcom · 29/07/2010 15:15

No, Barbie, me too!

He has a habit of pooing with the door open and the light off (fan!) and I have to shout at him from the top of the stairs (closest I can get) to turn the light on and close the door! That is an issue of smell though...

I've had to call him while I've been on the loo to extract the children who are trying to sit on my lap! I'm not ready to explain to them yet what I'm doing with that big rubber funnel (mooncup)

rubbersoul · 29/07/2010 15:47

wee yes, poo no no no.... he wouldn't in front of me either

Chil1234 · 29/07/2010 15:49

Certainly not.... In a house with two lavatories peeing in front of anyone is just bad planning - or exhibitionism.

forehead · 29/07/2010 16:14

Neither poo nor wee. I want to retain some sort of mystery( obviously labour and ill health are the exceptions).
My dh does EVERTHING in front of me.
I also try not to fart in front of my dh.

BarbieLovesKen · 29/07/2010 16:17

We've three lavatories Chil and yet...

BarbieLovesKen · 29/07/2010 16:18

Actually, is there any connection between the length of time of relationships between those who would reveal all and sundry and those who leave a bit to the imagination?

Morloth · 29/07/2010 16:21

Yes to wee, but no to poo. If I am having a poo I announce this to clear the area, find a book and lock the door.

olderandwider · 30/07/2010 12:35

God, no. Never. EEEEW!

notcitrus · 30/07/2010 12:51

Not now we have two loos in the house. Before that if I needed to go when DH was in the shower I'd pull the shower curtain across.

There's no mystique left - he's held me up through days of constant diarrhoea and vomiting and cleaned it all up, but for normal cases I want to be by myself!

Or with toddler, as it's quieter than having him scream from outside the door...

bohohobo · 30/07/2010 12:51

You know, I am pretty laid back, I have probably peed in front of him, but never poo and not keen on peeing tbh!

BarefootShirl · 30/07/2010 13:00

I am totally relaxed about having a wee in front of DP (and DCs) but when I go for a poo I like some privacy
