I love him. I really do. Even with a sparkly jacket.

He is a little piece of wondefulness and sprklyfabulousness in an otherwise quite dull staurday evening.

I don't watch him in anything else anymore where he's 'himself' as it were - too camp. but in Torchwood, seriously, wow! looks like he's good in Desperate Housewives too.

it's amazing how he can be immensely camp and OTT but be a really good 'proper' actor. that's why I don't watch the TV presenting stuff, it'd ruin my dreamy image of him!

MonarchoftheGarioch · 24/07/2010 21:58

Eccentrica, I had a very odd and slightly erotic dream about JB's rude places the other night. He was on a daytime TV show, and a question from a viewer prompted him to pull his trousers down and demonstrate that said places were of such a length that he had to perform some advanced origami in order to fit them back in his trousers again. Suffice to say that if Sloany did manage to turn him, she'd be a very happy pony IYKWIM

At least I think it was a dream? This Morning can be a bit risque at times, but surely it didn't actually happen?

MonarchoftheGarioch · 24/07/2010 22:00

With you there MathsMadMummy, definitely fancy him more as an actor than cheese prince entertainer...

Mowgli1970 · 24/07/2010 22:02

JB's well known for flashing during interviews, so it could be true!

sharbie · 24/07/2010 22:07

i agree with bunny

scottishmummy · 24/07/2010 22:08

hes rotten.from once a tree school of acting.total ham.100% gammon

forehead · 24/07/2010 22:09

Do you ladies know that he is married to a .... MAN.?

scottishmummy · 24/07/2010 22:17

too jazz hands and schmaltzy for me

pissovski · 24/07/2010 22:17

mmmmmmmmmm love JB. He's funny and dreamy and seems such a sweetie. I can't wait to see him live in October.

ponceydog · 24/07/2010 22:22

he is the smiley bland wallpaper of low-grade tv presenting and is becoming nearly as bad as dale winton

lorelilee · 24/07/2010 22:58

I can see why he isn't everyone's cup of tea, but, I'm sorry, there is no way you can describe him as 'talentless' - he is the complete and exact opposite of that. He really DOES seem to excel at everything he turns his hand to!

I think he is, looks wise, absolute perfection. And when he speaks with a Glaswegian accent, OMG!

EvilTwins · 24/07/2010 23:06

I saw him in Anything Goes, years ago. (swoon) He's great in musicals.

BunnyLebowski · 24/07/2010 23:06

Hmmmmm absolute perfection .......

lorelilee · 24/07/2010 23:12

He is, from the photo I've seen, 'gifted' in other areas too......

Olifin · 24/07/2010 23:12

Ewwwwwwww. Ewww, ewww, ewwwwwwww. This thread is making me cringe.

As for excelling at everything he puts his hand to...I beg to differ; he's a completely average singer, for example. I loathe him as a presenter. I have never seen him acting so can't judge him comment on that.

I find that Jim'll fix it type show quite nauseating.

pissovski · 24/07/2010 23:16

mmmmm

BunnyLebowski · 24/07/2010 23:19

Is that actually meant as a rebuttal pissovski?

I cannot imagine a poorer example of a man for women to find attractive.

I would rather motorboat Mylene from here to eternity than touch the snivelling, self-aggrandising, publicity slut that is JB.

TheFruitWhisperer · 24/07/2010 23:24

YABU

I loved the man until I saw him present that programme on finding a gay gene. He had previously seemed very 'together' but the show made him look a bit like a snivelling wally.

And the weird scottish accent he acquired when talking to him family freaked me out.

Howvever, had I not seen that show, I would agree that YANBU

AuntieMaggie · 24/07/2010 23:36

ooohhh he is absolutely gorgeous!

pissovski · 24/07/2010 23:44

Life would be boring if we all had the same tastes! and i really like that pic!!

He said in his autobiography that it is the US accent that is the acquired one - he lived in scotland til he was 8 but worked on gaining a US accent when the family moved there so he wasn't bullied for the way he spoke.

DilysPrice · 24/07/2010 23:52

He's incredibly cheesy, and a total attention slut, but strangely irresistable.
I highly recommend him in panto - his desperate tartiness works rather well there - unfortunately he's in Glasgow this Christmas (lucky Glaswegian panto-goers have the choice of my two favourite crushes of shame, JB and Darius Campbell, whereas my local panto stars Louis Spence from Pineapple Dance Studios).

scottishmummy · 25/07/2010 00:08

is darius campbell, darius danesh.he looked hot in kilt

DilysPrice · 25/07/2010 00:15

Yes, he changed his name recently for slightly confusing reasons. He's so cheesy, he's such a guilty pleasure, but I love his voice.

scottishmummy · 25/07/2010 00:22

i like darius danesh

differentID · 25/07/2010 00:22

I've liked JB since I was about 15. Saturday Mornings, he gave me a reaosn to get out of bed.
