AIBU to quite like the school holidays?

Schools here broke up last Friday.

So many of my friends are already moaning on Facebook that they hate the holidays, their kids are arguing, their kids are bored etc.

Now I know I'm running the risk of sounding a bit smug, but I actually quite like the holidays!

So far we have been camping (it rained, but it was still fun), baked flapjacks, picked blackcurrants in MIL's garden and made them into jam, been to get books from the library, played lots of board games, played in the garden in between showers... The DC are currently playing that game where you fold the paper and each draw a bit of the body each and then unfold it. I am enjoying the holidays just as much as they are.

I love love LOVE the holidays - (I work) but i get to spend 2 fantastic weeks with no schedule with my sons ....bliss. I get really good AL so i even manage to squeeze in another 1 day a week off for the other 4 weeks - i have a fantastic boss (with no kids) who kindly allows me to sort all my AL out first and she fits in around me.

I love it, I love not having to do packed lunches, iron school stuff, homework, manic mornings with two children at two schools.

I love lazy days, going out, two weeks sailing in Cornwall, trips in to London, camp outs, craft days, BBQs and so much more

I will like the holidays.

We don't break up until Friday [envious]!!

We broke up last Friday to and me and dd 11months and ds age 4 have been to the park everyday it has been great. But it has been sunny here. I am excitedly planning our summer holidays.
