Had a rear shunt accident in the latter end of june a 'boy racer' type drove into the back of us at about 20/25mph while we were stopped at a junction.(DS (7) and I were in the back ,ds is fine but the impact was directly behind me and I've ended up with whiplash injuries to my neck and shoulder and I am now having weekly physio.)

At the scene of the accident the guy gave all his details and stated he was insured and that he was sorry blah blah,so we didn't think to call the police to report the accident (no glass or vehicles blocking the road and both could drive away from the scene)

The car we were in was a write off.

Recieved a letter today from solicitor's stating the driver isn't insured and the case is now being transfered for the motor insurance bureau to deal with the claims against him.

The guy lives a few streets away and I know he has been driving this car as I walk past the road he lives on (school run time) and the car is regularly moved or not there.

He also is driving about with a small child going by the 'child on board' signs .

People like him make me sick.

[grrrrrr]

I've been to the Police and reported him.

Pc behind the desk said that my father should go to his local station and make a statement in regards to the accident.

whatname It looks like they have no insurance and just gave us a load of bullshit so we didn't call the police to the scene. The pc said this often happens.

He said he was a named driver on his gf's insurance and gave us the so called details, solicitor's cannot find any information on insurers and their car reg is showing up on the askmid website as not being insured .

Anyway,it's only a matter of time now before he's caught or arrested.
