Funnysinthegarden - may I suggest a second thimblette of vino, then a further online shop ending in a 48 pack of triple ply loo roll?!

My friend thought she'd ordered 5 mushrooms - turned out it was 5 KILOS of mushrooms. The delivery chap had carrier-bag-fuls of the ruddy things!

I know a bloke who had had a bloody huge smallish amount of whisky one friday evening as he was doing his tesco online order.

He didn't realize he had actually placed an order uintil the chapp was at the door. He's ordered about 20kg of different cheeses. He checked and it was 1 pack of every variety they had available!!!

He confessed he didn't even like cheese either

I once ordered a jar of marmite that was so big it took 4 burly men and a crane to lift it into the kitchen from the ocado van.

I also thought I'd ordered 8 carrots - wrong - it was 8 huge bags of carrots - 192 large carrots! Our local horses enjoyed the mistake, and as a family we were excellent during stormy power cuts cos we could all see so well in the dark!

I also received the teeny weeny-est bag of self raising flour....it wouldnt have filled a thimble. What was that all about?

(we love sweetcorn so it would be funny, but no problem to us)

CheeryCherry · 20/07/2010 16:53

(I heart internet shopping!)

nickelbabe · 20/07/2010 16:53

can't you freeze them? in little portion sizes?

I would be horrified if i thought that £3.15 was a small tin!

i buy a lot of stuff for home through my wholesaler (don't worry, i only claim work stuff on my tax return!), and some of the sizes of the packets are brilliant!

i have 8 bottles of shampoo, 12 packets of antihistamines and 24 boxes of ibuprofen! sooooo cheap.

Do you have a baby? You can play poo(h)sticks. (I am guessing this is fun for all the family but you probably need one of those German toilets with a shelf for you to examine the, er, goods once you're out of nappies.)

Open one of the cans. You, and other friends if you want, each feed a baby a sweetcorn-rich lunch. Then all you need to do is watch. First one to see it again wins.... the other can.
