So, I AM FUMING!

We asked both sets of parents before booking a weekend away if they could look after our children. 2 kiddies going to one set and 2 going to the other. All said yes and we booked a hotel for 2 nights in London at the end of August fr our5th wedding anniversary.

Hubby has just had a text from his Mum to say they have booked a holiday for the day we are meant to be dropping kiddies off and going away for our weekend.

I am sooooo cross. We now have to cancel and after spending nearly 6 wees with the kids over the summer hols I figured I would need it!

AIBU to think that they could have booked at ANY other bloody time.

Aaaarrggggghhhhh!

Only just seen this thread had developed since yesterday. Sorry guys I wasn't ignoring you all.

Dh wanted to go and see them today and I refused to go, however in the end we didn't have enough time.

My mum had alot o say about it all today!

I will lt them know how I feel as I am fed up of just sitting back and taking the crap from them! Hubby won't say anything!

Great news, XBox! Glad you got it sorted and would never rely on ILs for anything again!

UPDATE again, my cousin can't do it. My fault really. She said yes but didn't ask dates and I didn't tell her, I was too excied. So she messaged this evening to check and she is already busy.

Back to square one,

StealthPolarBear · 19/07/2010 22:42

what did your ILs text say? Did it acknowledge they were dropping you in it?

runnybottom · 19/07/2010 22:45
