DH and I had a walk after fish and chip lunch on Sunday. We all enjoyed the lunch DD 1yr and DS 2yr except DH who said he felt a bit sick. We walked up a hill but he moaned all the way up and most of the way down. Even our 2 yr old son enjoyed the walk and was great all the way. Right at the end even though I had both children I fell over in some mud. He said I nearly injured DD and we ended having a big row which went on and on and on. Am I unreasonable to make him walk when he has not great balance? Btw this happens all the time on outings.

Why does he not have great balance?

proudnsad · 12/07/2010 14:07

I'm confused

I think you are unreasonable to "make" another adult do something they clearly don't enjoy. If he always moans when you go out for a walk, why not just go yourself and the children, and meet up with him again later?

I'm also confused, but on the whole I would agree with AMumInScotland, to make him do something he doesn't enjoy. He said he was feeling a bit sick, and I'm not sure what you meant about 'he has not great balance', but it sounds like a walk up and down a hill was perhaps not the best choice for a family activity.

You could have just taken the kids on yor own, or chosen something to do that you all wanted to do?

I think the row about the falling over has actually very little to do with it??

Well if he finds it phsyically hard to walk then YABU, but if he just doesn't like it then YANBU, I do things with the kids all the time that I don't like, but they enjoy. THat's life init?
