DP & I went away with the 3DC this weekend. Yesterday, DP changed one of the boys after a poo accident and, about 30 mins later gave me a hug. His hands smelt pooey but he claimed it was the cheese and onion crisps he'd been eating so he refused to wash his hands Later, he came to bed. I asked if he was going to brush his teeth and he rolled his eyes and snuggled next to me. I shuffled away. When he asked what was wrong I told him he had pooey hands and hadn't brushed his teeth and, whilst it is his body and his choice, I did not feel like cuddling up to him and did not want his pooey hands on me. He said it was ok because he'd used a babywipe so they would smell ok. I disagreed.

So, he got in a big strop and slept with the DC instead and has been pissed off with me ALL day.

I was careful not to nag but ffs, he's 36. Why couldn't he just wash his hands?

yuk! there is no excuse for poor hygiene, but sadly a lot of men are like this. (although have to say my dp is a very very clean man

and why do some men think its acceptable to let their hygiene standards slip once you have been dating a while? my ex was like this, really clean and nice smelling and well presented at the start but after a while just couldn't be arsed. ugh.

Ew. It does amaze me how many parents change a nappy and don't wash or wet wipe their hands afterwards
