thinking of seeing a Dietican

me and DP are permantly knackered, we've been like this before baba was born (she is 10 months old). ive lost 4.5 stones and (fingers cross) that it had stopped - on no diet but i do exercise 3 times a week but its abit worrying but my mums was exactly like me too when she had me and my brother. Dp would like to lose 1.5 stones, he got a very active job - a window cleaner.

just wondering if we may be missing out something on our diet as we do eat healthy (not too healthy) or whether we are allergic to anything?

Do we both need to go and see the docs as we both eat the same at home and do i ask the Docs that i want to see the Dietican?

yes yur gp can refer you to see the dietician but do it sooner rather than later as there is normally quite a waiting list

biglips we've seen a dietician once and not found them any use. There are masses of books about healthy eating so a trip to your local library and perhaps a vitamin supplement would be a good beginning. If you were allergic to something you'd have worse problems but it is possible you have a food intolerance. It is very difficult to get those tests and from what you've said so far you'd be a long way down the queue. It's possible to test yourself by excluding foods from your diet then reintroducing them.

What weight/ height are you? Losing 4.5 stones after a pregnancy isn't necessarily bad, depends how much weight you put on during it.

im 11 stones, age 30, was 13 stones before i got pg, put on 2.5 stones when pg so total 15.5 stones and im 5' 8"

not light enough for the weight loss to be a problem then. Try cutting additives and prepared foods from your diet or eating foods with a low glycaemic index as some people say stabilising insulin levels gives you more energy.
