Taking oat milk on holiday - storage

An odd question but hoping someone might be able to help! Does storage temp (heat) affect unopened oat milk?

DD2 is currently on oat milk to try and help with a mucous problem. We go away to s france in a week and are flying so it would be hard to take loads of oat milk (and not at all sure we can buy it on french shelves). Friends are going out a few days ahead of us by car and nipping into spain. They can take the milk but it will spend a few days (unopened of course) in a car - which could heat up to a considerable temp when parked.

Would this be ok?!

thanks

We are oatly users ourselves!
I can't say for sure but if I was doing this, I would suggest that if you thoroughly chill the oat milk first, put it in a cool box/ bag with some frozen cool blocks and any gaps stuff with newspaper, I am sure it will stand the rigours of travel.

(nb I know it doesnt have to be stored unopened chilled, but this way you are ensuring it is stored as cool as possible for as long as possible!)

whhops sorry repeat message - don't know what happened there!!

yes, just done similar! took it camping.
wasn't in a car, but left in the tent which got pretty hot during the day.

am sure as it's heat treated and tetra-packed it ought to be fine

I would just add that French hotels of the logis de france variety/ campsites are usually quite helpful in refreezing ice blocks overnight. So if your friends are particularly nice, you could always ask them to do this once or twice during their road trip...

I am sure it would be find without the chilling, but like you I would be getting concerned about it all being tickety boo!

thanks all. Oatly company of course said they couldnt say above 20 degrees as not been tested. Friends taking some for us anyway. We tried to start her back on formula last night (see formula intolerance post) but its not looking good!

I assume if worst comes to worst i will be able to get soya milk for the week if we find the oatly has all gone off.
