I think I have a dairy intolerence and it's driving me mad. Every time I seem to eat dairy I get a sevre upset stomach and stomach pains which painkillers do not help. I went to the doctor...who did nothing! Other than see how it goes and come bk. So I did and he did nothing. Is there anything else...other than going to the doctor to try and find out what it is?! It's making me very stressed. X

Have you tried cutting dairy out for a week? If not then try that as that helped me.

I can tolerate dairy to some degree but it's a build-up e.g. have it a lot and then you feel like shit.

In fact I was quite bad with it, abusing the porcelain soon after consumption.

Doctor was no use at all.

I went to a natural remedy clinic in London and they diagnosed wheat and dairy intolerance, the wheat being worse.

They suggested giving up dairy for a week and see how I was after that.

I was much better!

At the time I tried soya milk but wasn't keen, reading now it's not good to take while PG anyway.

I now tend to avoid dairy on a regular basis and can get away with a bit every now and then.

I would avoid all dairy for a couple of weeks and see how you get on. Make sure you don't eat biscuits and cakes, and things with "whey" as an ingredient.

If things get much better, it's probably the dairy. It's intolerance, and everyone's tolerance level is different. Some apparently manage better with sheep and goat milk products.

I'm still on the avoiding all, apart from when a cake jumps into my mouth.

Iv given up dairy which has helped to some extent but most the time I still feel rough! I'v got used to the soya but just wondered if there was something else I was missing (or not in this case) that was still making me feel rough. What sort of tests are out there that actually work and how do I get one? Cos this is really starting to get me down with feeling rough 90% of the time. Thanks x
