Just been put on this by doctor and feel like slitting my wrists now? Looked through a list of what I cant have and feel like not eating! Stuff like quionoa never heard of and i hate nuts! Any guidance for what I could have for breakfasts etc (dinner is a little easier) and snacks? also, what the hell can I have when I go out for a 'drink' with my friends - apart from herbal tea? (in a pub?).... I had fizzy water the other nigth but would like to try and get on with this diet as it will helop considerably with the pysical pain I suffer I am sure.... but its hard going! ANY ADVICE , however small would really be appreciated ....!!

Thanks everso

can I ask why doc has cut out all of these at the same time? Have you had food tests already?

CMOTdibbler · 15/06/2010 12:50

Thats really a lot to cut out in one go - was there a reason for doing so much ?

willowlady · 23/06/2010 21:54

gosh sorry my computer at home has been down so sorry to not reply to you.
Yes nutritionlist has done blood tests, hair tests and saliva tests. I agree with you, its such a lot to give up in one go but I am desperte to feel better than I do now.

Thanks for your comments

Get them to refer you to a dietition

ClaireOB · 24/06/2010 13:08

Dr Adrian Morris has a list here of unconventional allergy tests "of no proven value". If your nutritionist has used any of these or similar, then the results and recommendations based on those might be questionable. Some nutritionists use these tests which can result in unnecessary dietary exclusions. As Tras recommends, it might be more advisable to see a registered dietician.

Well for breakfast I'd have decaff coffee, bacon or smoked salmon and eggs. Some wheat free toast if you're still hungry.

Is it all sugar that you have to cut out (eg you can't eat any fruit because of fruit sugar) or just refined sugar?
