Best suncream for eczema?

Our DS (now 2 years old) had terrible ezcema from a very early age. It has gradually cleared up as he has got older. Brilliant, we thought!

Until this hot weather... don't get me wrong, it's lovely but using suncream has flared his ezcema up big time. Arms, legs, neck ........ poor boy

Do any of you ezcema families have a prefered suncream?
Maybe one that lets skin breath a little more easily?

Any suggestions gratefully received, thank you.

Tesco baby is a fab one for eczema.
I'm currently using the Lidl one (factor 50) which is a bit white and thick but doesn't react to my really sensitive eczema.
I would actually stay out of the sun completely if possible rather than use it if it's that bad.

Sunsense Toddler Milk is extremely good and designed for those prone to eczema. However pricey and available online. Likewise Aveeno Baby Sunscreen (also available online).

When DD1 was younger and more sensitive i did do my best to keep her in clothes that covered her up and a good hat. Minimizes suncream use.

Have bought some Tesco Baby to trial first (as £3 and local!) Will keep the Sunsense idea for a possible in the future.

DS is allergic to Aveeno generally, which is a shame, as I think it's lovely stuff. So best not try that one!

Thank you

I have found the best for my dd is the Johnson Baby factor 50 (it's buy one get one free atm at boots although boots imo is expensive for sunscreen, have found it cheaper at superdrug) HTHS

just been to a dermaologist nurse for our son. We are still wrestling with the best sunscreen for him, but she gave an interesting bit of advice which was
to buy the spray lotion if possible, as this is much lighter on the skin. You do have to apply more often but it is apparently less irritating to sensitive skin. Can't vouch for it as yet, but thought it might be useful to you.

We currently us Johnsons too, and found he is less irritated by this than simple for babies.

Roc , sensitive , with no colours or perfume.

I have this problem with my 22-month-old. He has always had sensitive skin, which in the heat seems to get really red and rashy and sore on his arms and legs and a bit on his face, wherever I put suncream. I've tried Simple for Kids but that is as bad as anything. Went to doctors and she said that all suncreams available in Britain have some kind of chemical content and it's best to avoid this altogether and she recommended this Spanish brand which is apparently chemical and nasties-free. I haven't got my hands on any yet but she told me to google it - it's called Muslella. Once I've got mine and tried it I'll report back.

Please give No Scent SunCream a try by Green People. In short my toddler had hives from Pro Derm (mousse reommmended by heath visitor), rashes from Simple and Nivea. The organic one from Green people is excellent! Only factor 25 but I have had no probs or any colour to her skin. No sunburn or rashes, it's very good.

Unless your DS is very fair skinned maybe best to use no sun cream. I think the current obsession with using sun cream is daft. Exposure to sun is good for skin and is often a very effective and totally natural treatment for excema. Far better to make sure your ds covers up a bit/doesn't stay in sun too long than to cover him in nasty chemical creams.

We use proderm sun mousse, its specially formulated for kids with eczema. We get it from the sunshine health shop online.
