IgG4 blood tests results - need help to interpret them better

Hi all,

My doctor being on holidays for a while, I was wondering if anyone had reliable info or links on how to interpret allergy blood test results.

This is for my DD who is almost 8 months.

The tests are for IgG4 antibodies, following skin prick tests last month which showed dairy, egg and wheat allergies.

My main question is about wheat.
Her reaction to wheat at the skin prick test was 4mm - so the doctor found it not conclusive, and her blood tests only shows 0.04 kuA/l.
Could it be that she is NOT allergic to wheat/gluten?? (I dare not hope just yet)

Egg white is 18.6 and egg yolk is 2.11.
So I guess an egg allergy for definite!

Hazelnut is 1.55, almond 0.55 but all other nuts below 0.15.

I read a lot of things online about IgE tests results, but found nothing good on IgG4...

any help more than welcome!!
thanks!

Rather critical study here IgG tests

Could be why I've never heard of a doctor doing them before, only the sort of place that charges you a lot for unreliable results.

What symptoms does she have - could be she has an intolerance but not an allergy?

Thanks for the link!
OMG... why would they test IgG4 antibodies on her then? He had told me it would be to confirm or not the wheat and peanut allergies.
This doctor totally confuses me with everything, it's official.

She has never been exposed to wheat apart through my breastmilk until I stopped all gluten foods, but she had a severe reaction to dairy at 6 months with her first spoons of formula.
The cows milk result for IgG4 antibodies is only 0.11 though...

So this is a proper doctor? Are you sure they aren't IgE tests? The usual tests are skin prick then IgE blood tests (sometimes called RAST or something similar).

Why did you stop gluten if she'd never reacted to it?

I thought too it would logically be IgE tests, but the results state IgG4... The doctor is an allergist we were refered to, supposedly an expert.

She did have a reaction to wheat at the skin test, but just 4mm, so he said she could be or not be allergic to gluten with a small reaction like that, hence the blood tests. I so hope she isn't!!
