Managing baby eczema on face and head

Hello,

My almost 7 month old DD2 has eczema basically all over. I can manage her body fine as she can't get at it to scratch most of the time, but I just can't keep her away from her face unless I put mitts on her all the time (and even then she just rubs it raw). It is proving a real pain now that we are weaning her as she rubs food all over her face and head scratching and makes it worse (and a huge mess, but that I am fine with).

Her scratching is worse when she is tired and I do try very hard to be vigilant at stopping her, but I have a 2 year old DD1 who needs my attention as well.

Am I missing a trick? any advise on how to manage this. I am feeling really down as I have just put her down for a nap tightly swaddled with a really messed up face from lunch

try hope's relief cream, (google it) it works wonders.
my friends little boy was covered and nearly always on steroid cream. she started using the hope's relief and never used steroids again! was amazing

Hi there, can't really help, but just wanted to say i hope someone else comes on who can. My DD (5 months) has mild eczema on one side of her face and little patches all over her body. She too is a terrible scratcher, so i know how you feel.

Have you seen the doc about it?

Thanks will try the cream.

Yes have been to the doctor. We use aveeno and mild steroid cream when bad. I have cut dairy out of my diet (and tomatoes, apples and citrus fruit). She has already had an allergic reaction to homous, so I suspect there are more food allergies. We have an app with the dietitian at the hospital next month so will hopefully get tested there.

any other advice?
