Is there such a thing as a MILD cow's milk allergy?

Or intolerance? DS is 6mo and has reflux, mildly, which is much better now he's on solids. He's got a slight rash on his cheeks which seems to come and go, worse if it gets damp/dribbled on.

I give him milk in porridge etc and he's fine; had a yoghurt today and was a tiny bit sick about 30min later. Could just be coincidence.

Thoughts? I have NO experience with allergies etc, don't have any myself, nor does dh, none in family etc etc (constitutions of oxes, all of us )

yes,it could be an intolerance which can have varying degrees of severity.

I think if he normally easts milk in porridge etc and is fine then the little bit of sick after a yoghurt is really most likely to just be coincidental.

might be worth keeping an eye on him and noting if what he has eaten so that if there is a similar episode again you can see if he has eaten the same things.

dribbly-induced rashes are quite common IME

yes, my dd (now 5) had similar. She can now tolerate small amount of milk, yoghurts etc but cheese and butter give her the squits.
Her reflux comes and goes still too.

I am similar. I can tolerate 1 brand of yoghurt (Longley Farm) and hard cheese. And tea with skimmed cows milk, up to about 3 cups a day for three days if away/at work/run out of soya milk. Full fat milk, cream, ice cream, custard etc make me feel very sick, crampy, headchey etc
