Is it too late to find a dairy free 'milk' chocolate easter egg?

for a child who does not like dark chocolate?

Have tried local sainsburys, tescos, holland and barrett, the internet. Do they exist or are they a figment of my imagination?

Oh dear. Sainsbury are usually the best for dairy-free choc IME, but I see on their website that their Free From egg is dark, so that's no help.

Bumping for you anyway.

Or... our local giant Sainsbo's does soya choc buttons and bars in 'milk'. Maybe you could knock up some craft-y egg-shaped packaging? (Well, I know I couldn't, but I am a liability with The Art Box!)

Waitrose sell the Kinnerton dairy free ones? They are quite like milk choc (but obviously you're not going to find any milk chocolate ones!)

You can also get those dairy free bunny shapes (white choc as well) which are quite creamy, from Sainsburys or Waitrose.

Lots of places on the internet, but too late now (in fact too late for me as well, I ordered last week and they've still not arrived grrrr)

BlueBumedFly · 31/03/2010 20:16

Sainsburys online still had dairy free last night?

UnseenAcademicalMum · 31/03/2010 22:12

Sainsburys sell dairy-free white chocolate buttons. Could you get a few packages of those and fill a clear plastic egg shape with them (something like these)

Am on to it (only 3 days to go). Will check out Waitrose kinnerton first and then Sainsburys choc buttons/bunny shapes. Big thanks!

I got a Tigger one in SaINSBURYS last week.

LittleMarshmallow · 01/04/2010 09:39

In the baking isle in Tescos they have a make your own chocolate egg with mould etc you could do that and get some of the dairy free buttons to use for the chocolate if you cant find a shop bought one.

navelgazer · 01/04/2010 09:41

Ok will check for that when go to Sainsburys cece thanks

I had a read of the instructions yesterday think you melt the chocolate buttons then paint the moulds with the melted chocolate let it set then repeat

navelgazer · 01/04/2010 11:06

Mmm...not sure that would be foolproof (in my case) but if I get desperate will give it a go, thanks
