My DS is allergic to cow's milk and soya and wont drink goat's milk

My DS is allergic to cow's milk and now soya too and wont drink goat's milk.

I mostly breastfed him until he was 8 months. Then he went on to a cow's milk formula and some deep red eczema sores on his back appeared. At 12 months I realised it was the cow's milk formula causing the eczema. He's been on soya formula til two weeks ago (he's now 19 months) and flakey skin is returning. A nutritionist at a health spa in Thailand told me that he may well become allergic to soya in time if he has too much, a couple of months ago... TBH, when I realised how much sugar was in soya formula and that soya contains oestrogens which may effect his fertilty, I wanted him off it anyway...

Now though, he won't drink goat's milk - not sure if it's because he's used to the sweetness of soya formula or because he may sense that he is allergic to it? I'm really worried that the rice milk and oat milks he currently drinks aren't providing him with enough protein?

He isn't that keen on meat, but eats fishcakes (bi-weekly) and eggs (1 or 2, daily).

He used to love baby yogurts but they contained so much sugar they made him hyperactive. (A real shame because he loved them!) He hates the adult organic sugar free yoghurts.

Has anyone got any advice about how I can get more protein inside him?

you can ask your GP for a formula for milk-allergic babies. DD1 was on Pepti until she was 3. If not, they can prescribe calcium syrup if that is a concern.

DD was pretty pants with meat too. She liked chicken and apple balls (Annabel Karmel), or quite well-blended mince in spag bol and shepherd's pie. Kedgeree?

He's not keen on chicken or mince but I love your Kedegeree idea - I might try that tonight! Thanks

Also, did you get Pepti on prescription until age 3? I thought after 12 months the NHS don't give prescription baby milk or am I wrong?

I'm not sure how it works. We got it on prescription for as long as we needed it. We were under the gastro clinic at the hospital, but I don't know if that makes a difference. I'd like to think that if there's a clinical need then you should get it?

I hope so!
