Air travel with Epipen

Has anyone flown since xmas with Epipens and Piriton?
We have travelled before with a doctors letter and repeat prescription and have not had a problem, BUT, just wondered if things have changed since the failed terrorist attack at xmas.
We are flying in a couple of weeks to Europe and then to USA at Easter. Any advice please.

We just flew to Canada and were fine. I've never had them - anyone anywhere - even notice the epipens in the hand luggage. We're American and travel back and forth a couple of times a year. But we haven't since Christmas, so if someone says differently, listen to them!

I don't travel with liquid Piriton though, I travel with chewable pills because I find them easier in general - but you wouldn't need more than 100ml would you? I'd think you could stick it in your little plastic bag with your other liquids.

we were flying on Boxing day... but after the security madness of that week, nothing has changed. We hand the security people the tupperware with epipen and piriton, but they just scan it like before.
But have never had a doc's letter, and ours won't do repeat prescription anyway!

Flew to the US in mid January on BA. They were fine - they have obviously been briefed about epipens, we just mentioned it and they said fine, didn't need to show letters etc. For priton we just decanted some into the regulation 100ml or less bottles (you can get these in boots). The whole thing is a nuisance (esp as we had to take a lot of allergy friendly food for DD through as well), but they will let you through with what you need.

Just got back from Canada. My 12 yo son with the epipen got his carryon searched because he had in his backpack: a full water bottle, rounded scissors and a pencil sharpener which included a razor blade. The very lovely security woman didn't bat an eye at the epipen (she obviously knew what it was) and let him keep everything except the full water bottle.

I was mortified and will be checking his backpack from now on!
