consultant has said her milk result is negative.

egg and peanut have reduced.

cant belive it.

that is fab news!

We got a negative to milk last time too but they are making us wait until she is 18 mo before doing a dairy challenge. apparently starting with melted cheese??

March will be first peanut test [scared shitless emotcion] and re test for egg to see if we can get results low enough for an egg challenge.

Is your milk challenge at home or hospital?

misdee · 10/02/2010 21:17

at the hospital.

have to have no anti-histime for 5 days before hand.

i am really really hoping this is it, as milk is the hardest one to avoid currently.

Ooohhh, its lovely to hear some good news. Just been over on AIBU and run away scared.... much nicer back here. I have now done the peanut butter test on DD twice and she was fine, will do one more to be sure sure.

misdee · 11/02/2010 09:17

oh and i forgot, the egg one has halved (cant recall the numbers), and is almost normal as well. she did offer to do an egg challenge as well, but i said no, as soph has never actually had egg, so i am really nervous with just the milk challenge.

now bring on the mullerlight yoghurts and i wll lose 3stone by the end of the summer! (slimming world)

SkipToMyLou · 11/02/2010 10:22

Good news! Gives the rest of us hope, however slim! We'll all hold your hand through the milk challenge, don't worry.

trixymalixy · 11/02/2010 22:17

Absolutely brilliant news!!

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 11/02/2010 22:35

Oh, good luck! V jealous! As SkipToMyLou says, that gives us all hope!

I agree, I think milk is the real bugger to avoid out the three.

UnseenAcademicalMum · 13/02/2010 21:51

Excellent news !

Can I ask how old your dd4 is? I just wonder as I'm thinking about trying to push the docs to give ds2 an oral challenge (RAST grade reduced). He is 21 months, but at the moment they say they won't re-test till he is school-age .

misdee · 13/02/2010 22:27

she is 14months old.

her reaction pics are on my profile.

UnseenAcademicalMum · 13/02/2010 22:46

Thanks. Makes me hopeful .

ilovemydogandmrobama · 13/02/2010 22:49

DS was going to be challenged at 2 years old (in a few weeks) but when we were in California, at my mom's house, she left DD's yoghurt on the table, and he had a bit.

Cut to chase: he's still very intolerant and now intolerant to soya

ComeTwatTheKumquat · 14/02/2010 20:44

Misdee thats fab news! Brilliant. I'm so pleased for you. (Btw new name - was whelk - waves to all)

ComeTwatTheKumquat · 14/02/2010 20:46

Bluebumed - brill news about the peanut too!!

SkipToMyLou · 14/02/2010 20:47

Hi whelk - interesting namechange!

psychomum5 · 14/02/2010 21:00

fab news

altho, not to piss on your fireworks at all, when this happened with DD3, they were wrong as when she went to do her challenge, she vomited in spectacular fashion all over the nurse, and for me, I had blood results that were neg this time last year, and then in march got poisoned (and then stabbed) by DH mistakenly giving me butter.

soooo

please still take very good care with her until it can be proven in hosptital.

IMO, I think the Ige count goes down thru being so very good, and so not having it your diet to cause the allergy to show up in your system, and so makes the Ige go down IYGWIM. so it might just be that you are being extemely good with her diet, and so not challenging her system.

I hope tho that it does happen to be that she has indeed begun to grow out of it.

PandaEis · 14/02/2010 21:03

Great news misdee

BTW your girls are gorgeous (pics on profile. I had a nosey when looking at the one of ur DDs reaction)

hope all turns out well with the milk challenge
