Can anyone please suggest where I can find dairy, nut and soya free chocolate. All diary free chocolate seems to contain soya...just would love my little boy to have his first taste of chocolate at xmas.

Thanks

CMOTdibbler · 26/11/2009 13:55

If I've linked correctly all of these are dairy and soy free - you can search their site through the allergy section with multiple exclusions

misdee · 26/11/2009 14:05

oooo have bookmarked that site

Have you thought of making a cake yourself, there are recipes made with vegetable oil and cocoa which I use for my son who is allergic to milk, eggs and nuts. Also, if you just want to see his happy face with a bit of chocolate around it, what about Bourbon Biscuits?

trixymalixy · 27/11/2009 23:32

Lindt says may cotain milk and soya. We tend to ignore the may contain warnings.

gigglewitch · 27/11/2009 23:40

we also tend to ignore the "may contain" as well

I found lots of DF on ebay, which may not be the first thing to spring to mind, a mner recommended it. Sorry not sure about the soya free too, but may well be worth a look if you haven't already checked.

Could you try carob instead? It's not a bad substitute.

gigglewitch · 28/11/2009 21:05

we use carob mostly too, but isn't there soya in it

AngelaChase · 28/11/2009 21:17

Oops, yes it does, not something I have bought in a long time.

I'm really sensitive to milk and am fine with the lindt chocolate (70% +).

gigglewitch · 28/11/2009 21:29

umm, actually it's not clear what's in the plamil one ...and I truly can't remember if there is soya in it or not

zeered · 29/11/2009 21:51

Thank you everyone for the suggestions...
Unfortunately all of these have their issues too. He is so severely allergic he cannot have trace elements either. Plamil unfortunately do contain soya except for a few options which contain traces of soya so also no good.

Yes, have made him cake but not the best baker and also just wanted to give him a lil choc snack as a treat.

Unfortunately he is also allergic to wheat so cannot have biscuits either...will keep searching.

try this site www.dietaryneedsdirect.co.uk/cnb/shop/dietaryneeds-direct?op=catalogue-products-null&prodCategoryID= 5.

I think they make their own chocolate which is free from dairy and soya. It's dear though.
