GENIUS bread......I tasted it and love it, but can't get it in any of my local tescos :0(

Is it a case of demand outstripping supply, or have they stopped selling it.

I got soooooo excited about a bread I can actually use like real bread and am gutted that I can't get it now

My mum tried some of this the other day and was over the moon - she actually used it to make a sandwich! I got it for her in our local Tescos last week and they had plenty - it is a big store though.

Demand outstripping supply I think - lots of people have said that they have to hit Tescos on Genius delivery day to get some as it is so popular.

I have to make a special trip to the big Tescos to get some, but it is soo worth it !

Our closest one is a tesco extra. They had it a week and a half ago (I got the last two off the shelf), but they haven't had it back in since and there is just a big gap in the shelves and a label saying temporarily out of stock; same in another four smaller tesco that I tried. customer services couldn't tell me when they would be getting it in again

I've sent an email to the manufacturer as there doesn't appear to be any other stockist.

I'm pretty sure it'll be a case of them not realising just how popular it would be and not being able to keep up with orders.

so, erm, when exactly is genius delivery day so I can join the stampede?

Depends on your store - they should know when it would be in though

I do think they have been taken aback by sales though - I'm certainly buying more bread than I did before

I'll check again with them then CMOT. The spotty yoof an the customer services desk was less than helpful.

I would like to be buying more bread again!

I've had an email from Genius so thought I'd share

bread. We can assure you that there are no issues with supply as we are
meeting all daily orders from Tesco. Unfortunately, we have found
availability to be an issue in some stores but we hope this will improve
with the measures we are taking to resolve these out of stock situations.
Please do ask at the customer services desk if your local store has run out

make a special order of Genius bread for you to collect as some of our other customers have found stores willing to do this for them when they have had difficulty in obtaining it.

Obviously it's just Tescos messing up the supply then... unsuprisingly ! I thought stock control was much better these days

Umm, its gluten free bread that makes a sandwich that is enjoyable ?

and it makes delicious toast!

I have deliberately not looked at that website CMOT......although I might look into bulk ordering as I'm fed up going for my breakfast flakes to either tesco or sainsbury's and them being out of stock.

hmm so it's not like the usual stuff that tastes like stale hard weird bread that [in my mind] is the sort of bread jesus would have eaten?

no navy, it still isn't real bread, but it is moist and fresh and not in the least bit cakelike.

It also comes in an unsliced loaf, which will give you an idea how not crumbly it is in comparison with regular GF breads.

My DH said if he hadn't known it was GF, he would have said it was homemade bread from a breadmaker.

"cakelike" that's the word I'm after. All the other breads are dry and stale cake like!

Just looked it up on the weblink, does anyone know what sort of sugar is used?
