haven't read the research yet, only this report of it. However stopping the trial early is usually indication of something worth reading!

Swimming pool water always helped mine, so maybe the chlorine is doing it??

I've been wondering if our local pool uses too much chloride in the water because DS's eczema seems to get worse after a swim. Is there something I could do to prevent his skin getting worse? He loves swimming and would hate to stop the classes?

hi , i have had eczema since i was 6 months old & now my daughter has it , but my daughters doctor told me its ok 2 take her swimming but b4 she goes in2 the pool i put
EMULSIFYING OINTMENT on 2 her skin , it acts as a barrier so the chlorine doesn't effect her , when she gets out i shower her & put the ointment on again & it stops any flare ups , , america hope that helps .
you can buy EMULSIFYING OINTMENT OVER THE COUNTER , DONT NEED A PERSCRIPTION ,

Swimming in chlorinated pools tend to make ds's eczema worse, so I don't think it will help his particular variant. But then again some emollients make him worse, too. So horses for courses, I suppose.
